The moral foundation for music is found in Genesis 1 when God created the world and gave man dominion over the earth. Through this creation order we are given music, for nothing is without sound or harmony. We are to participate and reorder it for making sense and beauty. We allow our students the privilege to end each school day following this creation mandate.The students internalize music through voice and instruments for, according to Scripture, music serves as a visible expression of the Christian faith for every person.Through singing, we understand that the praise of God is not optional. “Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!” Psalm 66:1-2
