The parent organization of Providence Hall is called Panthera Leo and its purpose is to encourage parent involvement, provide support and encouragement to all the staff, and foster strong relationships among all the families at Providence Hall—all for the glory of Christ!

Teacher/Staff Support Pride
Treats for Teachers:
This group is in charge of providing and stocking snacks and treats in the teachers’ lounge on weekly basis. Additionally, this group compiles “goodie bags” to give to the teachers during their summer training events, etc. This group, in conjunction with the “Special Day” group, also helps to organize Teacher Appreciation Luncheons (approximately twice a year).
“Special Day” Gifts for Teachers:
This group is in charge of creating and/or purchasing small gifts for teachers and staff on their “special day”—birthdays, Administrative Assistant Appreciation Day, graduation, new baby, new house, etc. This group, in conjunction with the Treats for Teachers group, also helps to organize Teacher Appreciation Luncheons (approximately twice a year).
Classroom Parent(s):
To provide additional assistance to individual teachers, each grade/class asks for at least one parent volunteer to help coordinate approved parties, coordinate the purchase of additional supplies (as needed), and to further assist the teacher.
Parent Support Pride
Parents Fellowship
This group will plan and organize fun fellowship opportunities for parents and families. Ideas: bowling, dinner, movie night, picnic (whole family). These events should take place about once every nine weeks. Focus on fun, fellowship, and family support. This group is also responsible for welcoming new families as they transition into their first year at Providence Hall—sending “welcome” letters/emails, handling introductions, and being available to answer any questions.
Moms In Touch
This group, led by Holly Schiavo, meets once a week at the school. Meeting days/times will be provided in The Post. *No need to sign-up; just come and join moms who meet regularly to pray for our children, our school, our teachers and administrators.
Prayer Calendar
Each month a prayer calendar will be sent home to all families listing the names of students, staff, board members, and teachers, etc. Mrs. Schiavo has graciously offered to create this school year’s prayer calendars.
School Support Pride
“Passive” Fund-raising
This group will plan and organize passive fund-raising opportunities such as Box Tops, Dinners Out (e.g. Johnnies Night), Target and other Retail Cards that provide some kind of reimbursement to PH, etc.
“Event” Fund-raising
Currently Providence Hall has two main “event” fund-raising projects: Auction and Hot Dogs for the Homeless. More information and details for those interested in helping with these major events will be provided by Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Lynne Doe, and/or the Board. Requests for volunteers will be sent out via e-mail or The Post as needed.
