Mrs. Liz Loveless, Fourth Grade

From early childhood I have always had a passion to learn.  That passion, along with a love of children of all ages and a deep desire to know, love, and serve the Lord, make me look forward with eager anticipation to becoming part of the Providence Hall family.  Both public and private schools have been part of my teaching experience.  I have taught in Indianapolis, Colorado Springs, and then in Oklahoma City (Putnam City) and Deer Creek public schools.  I have also had experience in a private Christian school for children who couldn’t afford private schools.  There I taught a beginning reading program and worked with middle and high school students, instructing them in grammar and English composition. In the public schools I taught second, third, and fourth grades as well as Title I Reading and Reading Recovery.  I also started a Kindergarten program for Metropolitan Baptist Church.  My Bachelor of Education degree was received from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois; and I received a Master of Education with minors in English and Speech from Purdue University.  My pride and joy is my family.  I am married to an “Okie” who had wandered from home via the service.  We met in Colorado Springs where I had gone to ski and teach (notice which one took precedence at the time. . . .).  We have two children, both of whom are married.  My daughter and her husband and our beautiful and talented granddaughter live too far away in Virginia, and our son and his wife live in Dallas.  We also have an extremely hyper but loveable schnauzer named Mitzi.  My husband and I are active members of Crossings Community Church where I have enjoyed singing in the choir for many years as well as attending Sunday School classes, helping in children’s church, and participating and helping lead Bible studies.
